Hello ! I'm Electrolyse (or Enzo if you want to know my real name). Sumi B. gives me the link of this forum and here I am. It's my first WriYe and I write fanfictions and RPG scenarios since two years.
In real life, I'm a computer sciences student. My others hobbies are playing video games, reading or playing music.

Hi everybody, I'm Saya!
I'm a fairly long-time NaNo vet and I've participated in WriYe off and on several years. Recently got back to it last summer! Perhaps the most important thing to know about me is that when the inspiration hits I write like a womxn possessed (20K days are still a thing!), but when it disappears, I might not write anything for months. And during those dry spells I tend to avoid writerly places because of guilt, which isn't good for anyone involved.
But! We're thinking positive this year, so let's move on.
I'm a 23-year-old female experimenting with gender neutral pronouns (my preference is xe/xer/xey), transitioning from college life to the realities of an Arts major. Social anxiety and depression have been kicking my tail recently, so I've decided to kick back, because sometimes violence actually is the answer. Hmm... I'm the eldest of four (youngest is 11, my 19yo sister is also a writer), I was homeschooled from birth to college, and being a sex-repulsed aromantic autochorissexual has become a surprisingly large portion of my identity. Also a very strange conversation starter. In addition to being an aspiring novelist, I worldbuild recreationally (which isn't a word? Why do you hate me, English?), play lots of video games, bullet journal, have a fickle relationship with meditation and yoga, read potentially unhealthy amounts of fanfiction, play and compose music, dabble in photography and graphic design, and occasionally knit. Despite being a devoted homebody, I love traveling and the great outdoors. In addition to writing ALL THE WORDS this year, I intend to dedicate serious effort to my author platform, which means routine blogging! Probably book reviews, mostly. Copyediting if I can find victims guinea pigs clients.
I'm also possibly going into business with my Mom to publish homeschool curriculum and a travel/lifestyle blog specifically aimed towards parents of children with special needs and/or chronic illness. It's my Mom's passion project, so it'll happen one way or the other, I'm just not sure yet how heavily I'll be involved. We'd be doing things like critiquing museums and whatnot.
In case you can't tell already, I'm also long-winded. >.<'
Hi, I'm Izumi. I think I participated in WriYe once but that was years ago, and I don't think I got much done.
It's been a while since I've really written so I really want to get back into writing a lot this year, and maybe getting something published by the end of the year, or at least start posting a web novel. I write mostly fantasy, urban fantasy and paranormal fiction. I also write a bit of fanfiction from time to time. Two big projects I want to work on this year are my world building project for a conworld I started way back when I was middle school(I'm 30 now) and my supernatural/paranormal series I've been planning on and off for about 10 years...
Outside of writing my other hobbies are drawing and painting, knitting, and crocheting. I also enjoy playing games, mostly RPGs, but lately I've been playing lots of Stardew Valley.
Hi all! I just discovered this community looking for something like nanowrimo but year round. I just won nanowrimo for the first time in November, writing a fiction/fantasy novel. I had a blast, and I want to take that same focus and productivity to my non-fiction writing (and also finish my novel this year, which will be about 100k when finished I think!).
I'm a professor of media studies, and I'm currently writing a somewhat experimental book on fan video genres--experimental because it's part written and part video, and will be an online multimedia book in its final incarnation. It's amorphous and weird and I need to buckle down and just write it! So yes, by goal is to consistently write this year, making room in my life for both fiction and nonfiction writing consistently.
I'm also a mom of a 12 yo and a 6 yo, and homeschooling the 12 yo, so, full plate!! I live in rural Vermont, and love tea, fountain pens, TV and books. Right now I'm really feeling Chinese dramas and Good Omens. Always loves include Sherlock Holmes and everything written by PG Wodehouse.

Hello, I'm Lisa!
I don't know how long I've been here, but I saw something from 2013. I guess that means that I have been here since at least then. The writer in me has decided that I will not make ONE resolution this year. At the beginning of each month, I will set a QUEST for myself, with a GOAL to focus on. I will include 3-5 sets of PROBLEMS, SOLUTIONS, and CONSEQUENCES.
Maybe thinking about myself with a character arc will help my inner and outer work…
I'm Emma. I've a done NaNo quite a few times although I've lost more than I've won. And I've tried to do WriYe twice before (also unsuccessfully). I'm really good at saying I'm going to do things and not great at actually doing them but I've been trying to change that over the last year or two. I write a variety of things depending on my mood - I think I'm going to be doing short stories and flash fiction more this year but I'd like to write a longer piece too (maybe a first draft of a novel?).
I'm in the UK, I'm not working due to disability but I do some voluntary work. Outside of writing I like crafts and reading and I'm trying to get fitter.
I am Zeppelli, previously Lazy Saturdays, and I'm an avid reader, amateur writer, and moderately good baker. I am a retail store with 30 employees and two girls that compete in rodeos, so I really don't have much free time as I like.
My preferred genre is fantasy and sci-fi, but I'm planning on trying my hand at a true crime story this year.

Hi! I'm Kristen. I first joined back in 2010, and immediately wrote nothing for most of the next decade. I got back into writing pretty big at the end of 2018, and thanks to the newsletters found my way back here. I'm mostly writing Supernatural fanfic these days, but I love reading sci fi and fantasy (and...uh, everything else. I'm not picky.) Find me on discord/tumblr/AO3 as ninjakittyofdoom or klove0511.
Single mom to three teens and a revolving door of their friends, plus a cat who always needs love as soon as I sit down to work. During the day, I play mad scientist in a laboratory; in the evening I wrangle teens. And I squeeze whatever writing I can amidst the chaos. I'm currently working on an Urban Fantasy book, but like writing contemporary romance as well.

I'm marielaurent2223 Marie for short. I've been writing stories, and poems, since 2005. When I was in middle school and high school. Ive done Nano, and Campnano since 2009 ir 2008. I love reading and writing, and when not doing either. I paint, do crafts, watch movies, tv, write letters in my notebook to penpals or family and friends in my notebooks, and feelings in my journal. Spend time with my family, and dog. Take pics, video tape. Spend time with my pet milo bubba. Clean house, cook. Bake, exercise, try to lose weight and diet. Also try to organize.
I also plan to set for and complete my small goals and reach my big goals through baby steps. Someday I would like to publish my works, and paint to sell my paintings someday. Besides lose weight to be at 150 pounds all the way to 135 pounds and then be at 129 or 104 pounds. Plan to work on my health emotional, physical, and mental. I signed up for 250k and I hope to complete the goal and accomplish it this year. And possibly when me and my family move. Find a job. That I can save money a lot.

Hello! My name is Miranda, and I signed up for WriYe back in the super early days, and I think I came close to making it back then. I can't for the life of me remember what I went by back then, so I'm now using the account I've been jumping on and off of for years. I haven't written anything substantial in a very long time, and I would like to create at least something small this year, so I'm going to set myself a small goal of 75,000 or so for the year to get the juices flowing!
I work as an executive assistant in downtown Seattle with a slow season coming up, so hopefully I can use my time productively.

Hi, I'm Azec (Marianna on Discord because I can't remember how to switch between my writing and gaming names. So, uh, sorry for any confusion.) I can't remember when I joined WriYe. It was sometime in or after 2012? and I didn't get far with it. I've a lot of health problems recently, physical and mental, and decided I needed to get out of my rut and do something positive. I can't act at the moment due to my health, which is really frustrating, so I decided I should probably finish all those fanfics I start and never complete. It's something I can achieve right now. Okay enough with the gloom.
I write mostly sci-fi and fantasy. I try and keep it believable as far as the in-universe rules work. I may be guilty of using Deus Ex Machina when I paint myself into a corner but I edit that out later when I've worked out how to fix it. Deus Ex Machina devices allow me to keep writing rather than get stuck and give up. So, uh, excuse the suddenly ninjas. They'll see themselves out when I'm no longer stuck.
Edit to add: Forgot my writing music! Massively important detail there. I use Hammock to help me focus to write. I was introduced to them by a fellow wrimo in 2014. They're a post-rock "shoegaze" band and if you don't need music with a particular emotional resonance then they're great for getting the relaxed focus needed to write. I used their albums all through university to help me concentrate while writing my coursework too. They're on spotify.
Hello ! I'm Lilia, and I'm French. I have not a good level in English, but i like challenge so I will try to participate in the forum. I won only 1 Nanowrimo and 1 camp Nano and my goal is 200k. I discorverd only today wriye, but I also fixed my dayly word, so it's good. I write Fantasy (Heroix Fantasy, Historical Fantasy and other) novel and romantic scenario.
I have been away for so long. So glad I got an email from the group. I've got to get back into this. I've got so many #WIP's going. I need to finish something. I hope to become very active on here, just as soon as I figure it all out again.
