Hello, my name is Fae Grimm. Call me Fae! (: I'm graduating college(class of 2020)and I'm a published author in the genre horror. For this project, I'm writing a fantasy, mutt mix genre, that's far outside the realm of my usual terror time stories. This novel is a love letter to my fiance. I've been writing it for 5 years now. I am currently in the NanoWriMo for StayHomeWriMo April, with a word count goal of 100,000 to finish it but due to (life), I've been setback again. My hope is to thrive here and keep the steam going to finally publish this one!! Also, I love ferrets and wish I had one of my own.
Similar to a few others I signed up maybe two or three years ago but fell off due to work and then received a reminder email recently. I write primarily romance with a bunch of urban fantasy.fantasy stories floating about. I have a lot of ideas but find it hard to follow through so hoping this will help keep me to finish at least one novel this year.

Heard about this place on 4tw and thought it sounded awesome, so here I am! I write speculative fiction--mainly fantasy, but sometimes sci fi or paranormal. I dream big, plan extensively, and am planning on self-publishing my first series (queer urban fantasy/portal fantasy) later this year, so accountability is key. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi everyone, you can call me Dragon, (ChaoticHufflepuff on discord). I found this place through Reddit, and figured I'd give it a try. Last year was the first time I ever tried NaNo and even though I didn't get anywhere close to the 50k goal, I still ended up writing more in that one month than I have in the past 7-8 years. Something about that really did it for me, so I came looking for something that could be more of a 'year-long' deal to get my motivation back up.
A little about me: I'm a college graduate, currently unemployed, w/ a BA in English and a minor in History. I've been writing fanfiction since I was around 10 or so. I like to write in the fantasy genre with most of its subgroups, though my favorite would probably be science fantasy. It's really freeing and just downright fun to have modern technology mixed with magic and dragons and such.
Word Count: 16,984/50,000 Current Projects: The Queen's Gambit & Fanfictions (〜￣▽￣)〜
Hi everyone! I was somewhat active around here in 2010-2012ish under a different user name (Brie) and tried to get back into it about a year and a half ago...and then life got in the way as usual. When I was last active, I was a college student majoring in English. I've since graduated and gone to grad school for library science. I'm now an academic librarian.
I want to get back into writing (mainstream-ish?) fiction for myself/my own stress relief. I also have a lot of professional/academic writing to do...while I know that's a different type of writing than a lot of WriYe-ers concentrate on in this space, I just need general writing motivation. I know from experience this is a great place to find it.
Hi everyone! I heard about this event a few years ago through a discord server and on the NaNo forum but never actually signed up. Since the summer vacations are about to start in France (along with Camp NaNo), I thought it would be good time to try and write more and have a regular writing schedule. I tend to put aside my projects after a few months and would like to change my bad habits into something a little more productive.
I mostly write fantasy but I dabble in other genre (sometimes, when I want to avoid my current project and the hole I dug myself in ). I'm French so I hope my English won't be too atrocious ^^ I can be quite shy on the net but I hope to change that and be active (at least a little).
I'm Teresa, and I've been bouncing around WriYe off and on since 2009. Not for a couple of years. I think. Stress and life ate most of my year but I recently started thinking about this place again and wandered back over.
I mostly write fantasy - contemporary and sci-fi flavored - with romantic subplots, and have a list of WiPs as long as my arm.
Oh, and I'll probably be bouncing around Discord as novamoonlight. Since I made the mistake of joining the server before I reintroduced myself.

Hi, I'm Jumpers (real name Steve), husband of Clarenet. I'm British, which colours the way I use English rather a lot. I'm a published Nano writer, and I write "light" sci-fi, YA, adventure - that sort of thing. I like to read similar things to what I write (with the addition of dystopia that I haven't tried writing yet).
Professionally, I'm a software engineer (complete with masters degree from the University of Wales), so I'm a bit of a logical problem solver, a crazy ideas generator, and British sarcasm oozes from just about everything I write. I'm also a musician (I was really uncool at school and learned to play the church organ - and now I'm grown up everyone thinks it's really cool - I don't get that), and I'm a bit of a radio nerd (I've worked in broadcast radio, both behind the mic as a presenter, and under the desk with a soldering iron and screwdriver). Generally, I'm open to trying most things for fun or as a challenge.
Goals: I really want to get a second book published, but my sequel has been stalled for years - I just can't get it the way I want it. I have a draft of about 45k words, but it peaks too soon and doesn't do many of the things I wanted... I'll write more about this and what I want to do about it elsewhere at some point.
