Have you signed up for the newsletter? If you're in chat, you've seen me poke about it, but here is your official notice!
Along with that, I wanted to know: would having monthly or twice monthly pep talks be of any help?
I would ask anyone in the community who wanted to share some motivation, some tips and tricks, or just some commiseration to write up something that we could send around to the community. Since we do have monthly challenges, it could be related to the topic for the month or a normal "Writing is hard! " talk.
Please answer "Yes" or "No" to the pep talk poll and choose if you'd rather it monthly or twice monthly.
If you would like to send a pep talk, PM me! They can be about motivation, how to get out of a funk, consistency, dedication etc. etc. Other ideas for topics related to monthly challenges that you may want to ruminate:
January - New Beginnings; Character Creation February - Writing Romance March - Editing Woes and How to Make It Through April - Returning to Old Stories; How to Learn from Old Stories May - Mermaids!; Exploring New Ideas; Inspirational Artwork (because of MerMay being an art challenge originally) June - Titles; Camp Prep; Balancing Life and Writing (because I still think in school "breaks" here) July - Zombies! August - The Art of the Short Story September - Crazy High Word Count Days (7DN may move to Sept. We'll see) October - All Things Prep. November - NaNo. December - Committing to Finishing Stories and When to Trunk
Now these are not mandatory topics! Just things to get you thinking. And I don't mind having two pep talks per e-mail if there's a lot of you who want to add in!
