Hey!! I'm Chloe, I sometimes go as Blu online so that might appear on here from time to time. I've only just joined this year as I've been writing my novel for a few years and have decided to finally get it finshed this year so I am looking for ways to motivate myself!! I write mostly Young Adult or New Adult.
I'm from England, I mainly spend my time reading and writing. I'm in my last year of sixth form and I'm just excited to be here. Thank you.

Hello! You can call me Jonah (actual name), Levant (pseudonym), or Valhalla (a nickname)! I'm 20 years old, use they/them or he/him pronouns, and I'm autistic. I'm hoping WriYe won't be too much on me, but we'll just have to see. The way I write and the things I'm passionate about conveying in my works are shaped mostly by my experiences navigating the world as a minority and a survivor of trauma, and this is something I'm really thankful for even if it's made my life difficult.
I've been writing since before I can even remember. I started with a fixation on fantasy, but I moved away from that after a while - now I'm mostly interested in whatever genre best serves the subjects I want to explore. The reason I used to write used to be escapism, but now it's more or less an opportunity for me to explore real-world concepts that are close to my heart (through experience or through my love of fellow humans). While I love immersing myself in fantasy settings even more than when I was younger, I'm really not interested in getting away from the real world when I write. My goal is, overall, exploring subjects of morality and philosophy, presenting political critiques, representing the oppressed, and presenting a realistic look at mental illness and trauma whether it leads to an optimistic conclusion or not.
I also write fanfiction! I post to Archive Of Our Own whenever I write fanfic. I'm desperately trying to get back on track with writing original fiction as often as I used to, but we'll see if that ever happens.

I'm Emma and I'm in my late thirties, from the UK. I've been saying for years that "this year will be the year I finish a novel..." and then it never is. But maybe this year actually is that year? As I get older I feel more and more like the time to start taking my writing seriously is running out and going to pass me by if I don't stop talking about it and start doing it.
I'm a blogger, mostly, lapsed slightly. I do enjoy writing fiction but don't do enough of it. I love writing flash fiction and used to write fanfiction but a novel is the dream. I say I don't like writing poetry but occasionally the mood takes me and I enjoy it.
I'd also like to write a few articles this year for other websites - I've done it before and enjoyed it but got out of the habit in the last few years.
I've set my goal at 250,000 words which feels insurmountable and probably unrealistic but if I get on with it and find the consistancy I've lacked in the last few years isn't completely out of reach. I'm getting a bit of a late start this year because I've been ill which doesn't help but hopefully I can get going now,.

Hi, I'm Ashton. I'm an Australian Paranormal/Urban Fantasy and Mystery writer in my late 20's. Somehow I convinced myself to actually do Milwordy this year. I just remembered this forum existed after I participated in 2014 and wrote 500,000 words. I've been writing for the last few years but never really kept count outside of NaNoWriMo challenges. While I mainly want to focus on novels and my web serials, I hope to write some short stories and novellas this year as well. I love reading short horror stories like those featured in The NoSleep Podcast and would love to buckle down and learn how to write my own.
I have no idea why I'm writing 1M words, but I need closer to 500,000 new words to keep the current buffer for my two web serials. I also want to write and finish a few other projects this year. Eventually, I just caved and decided I may as well do Milwordy.
Shoot for the moon and land among the stars, I guess.
Social accountability definitely helps me stick to goals so here I am. Other than writing I love reading, listening to music/podcasts and bushwalking. I'm also learning how to draw.

Hi, nice to meet all of you!
My name is Gemma. I am 46 years old and I live just outside of Boston. This will be my second year participating in Wriye. I've belonged to several writers groups before and from 2014 to 2019 participated in Nanowrimo. I joined Wriye because I wasn't happy with the changes Nano made to their website, among other things. I figured I would try this place for one year and see how everything went. I really liked it, so now I'm back again for 2021.
I used to write Mainstream/Historical novels, but a few years ago I switched to Fantasy. I'm currently working on a novel based on Greek Mythology. I think I'm about 75 percent through with it. My goal this year is 60,000 words. I've changed my daily word count goal, though. Instead of 1,000 words a day, I'm only going to write 500 words a day. This is in case I get stuck in a rut. I can easily do 500 words in a hour, sometimes more, whereas 1,000 words takes me 2 to 3 hours.
As for hobbies, I like gardening, reading and cross stitch. I'm currently doing the first one of these (I have an mini indoor garden) but I'd like to get back into the other two also.
I can't wait to talk to the people I met last year and some new members too!
