I convinced my co-writer Ashe to sign up this year, so we might actually tackle two projects together this year?! We'll see how it goes. I forced her to help me set up the thread so I can start getting everything going, and Ashe will be back after the holidays to fill in her pages.
My goal for this year, simply put, is to finally train my brain away from the idea of publishing, and to just write the stories I want to write. Writing needs to truly be an escape, a place where I play on the page and have fun, not something I feel guilt or shame about when things get tough. I want writing to be a refuge for me, the way it used to be, not something I'm constantly thinking I'm not good enough for. I get enough of that stress with work. Maybe, when I can finish a project, I can start entertaining the idea of publishing right now. But right now, I need to court my muse, and shut my inner editor █████ down.

Hi all! I'm new here this year! The past couple of years have not been so good for my writing, but I'm hoping to change that in 2021 (though between classes, a baby, and work, I'm not as optimistic as I could be).
Innywho. I'm Ashe Lee. I've been working on projects with Rin for several years, and our ideas seem to just keep adding up (which is fine with me). Like Rin, I have entertained the idea that maybe our most recent project would be one worth publishing, and maybe some day it will be, but I really want to just get the thing written. I want to have fun with my characters and world-building, and we have a new project coming up that I'm excited to dig into.
I don't feel that I'm a very good solo writer, but I have been slowly working on a couple of my own projects, but my main focus this year is to work with Rin on our two projects. I'm hoping the new year is better than 2020 was. I would like to get one of our two project completed.
I feel like this has been a very rambl-y intro, and for that I apologize. Looking forward to being a part of this forum and getting my creative juices flowing!

Agggh, and my mortgage isn't gonna like it, but I'm taking Friday, Monday and Tuesday off. I need a break, and I think that's fair. I proved this week I can work through the weekend, and I think 5 days off and a 10 day workweek is just fine. And, it allows me to do the WriYe challenge on Friday. What is it? WriDay, I think? Also, starting the OC challenge? Annnnd, I think I'm going to do the OC challenge on paper, so booyeah!
