Since 2010, WriYe has found its own way to embrace Valentine's Day. Beyond the chocolates, roses and candlelit dinners, there are romance stories that float through the air like the strains of a beautiful violin solo. It's your job to pluck some word-music out of the air and get it down on paper/computer screen. What is the literary world without romance? This is a word-count based challenge with one requirement: romance has to play a significant part in the story. You may use a brand new story or a work in progress, or multiple stories!, but only count new words for this challenge. No cheating on that; it causes too much drama. Keep it to the stories. So, break the out romantic in you and write a love story dedicated to your heart's desire - whether it be person, place, or really good piece of chocolate. This challenge runs through the entire month of February. Remember, romance story words only for this challenge. Any non-romance story writing can still be counted for WriYe, but not for this challenge. If you go above your current word count goal and into a new bracket, feel free to move yourself later in the challenge. Sometimes relationships with stories get more serious. Lovers: 1,000-5,000 words 5,001-10,000 words10,001-25,000 words25,001-50,000 words
