Glad you are feeling better! I wonder why the one-page handwritten was slow, do you think it's because there's no back button? Not being able to easily change could be paralyzing. Good luck with it!
I think most of it is just me trying to keep my handwriting somewhat legible, so I'm writing very slowly. And yeah, I really do have to stop and think about what I'm writing. Things like, does this even make sense?
hi march. it's supposed to be spring now, right? i fully expect these few sunny (but cold) days to give back to the rain, which i'm fine with because rainy days means my workplace isn't 80 degrees of sunny pain. since my images don't seem to work anymore - you get 100% text based posts, unfortunately. i'll blame proboards since my hosting seems to be working just fine. :P
goals for this month are going to be simple (though i think i said that last month too..) and i'm going to try and finish Castle of Shatted Souls (keeping that typo lmao) and writing for the luddite challenge.
year to date: 68,206 / 200,000 i have something of shame to announce: i kinda told my luddite challenge story to f off and am now writing it on the computer. i don't plan on abandoning the challenge altogether, but i'll start over at some point, with a different story.
otherwise, march is going pretty well. i've been getting in my minimum words without much more, except for challenge days (like today!). still working on finishing castle bits and soul nonsense, and it's been going fairly well, actually. i can still sorta, see the end.
work refuses to let us work from home during this super fun coronavirus outbreak, which is awesome. i suspect that'll change once someone actually gets sick. (hopefully?)
I'VE FINALLY MOVED! it is done, and I now live much closer to work, which is great considering i now work from home. the timing of this whole thing has been /great/ though my complaints are really just petty. neither of us is sick yet and i still have a job and place to live so there's that. work has been talking about the possibility of furloughs and blageaffdsg. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. I work for a grocery store FFS, you'd think I'd be safe, lol. But uh people are buying all the stuff without marketing's help at this rate.
Anyway, writing! Writing has been pretty slow thanks to moving, but I've managed to pull out at least my minimums these past few days. The 17th marked my first actual zero day of the year which .. I made it to March, which is impressive for me. I don't have a desk or a couch yet - so I'm writing and working from one of those awful camping chairs that folds up (says the person who never goes camping) and probably later from my equally uncomfortable dining room table.
I've taken a bit of a break from both of my established novels and have been writing RaTs for Anthem fanfiction. Though I think I'm about ready to switch back to Castle Shards and Soul Chunks. ;]
Congratulations are your new apartment! I'm so glad you're over your illness and it wasn't Corona! Moving is very time intensive, so don't feel bad if you haven't been been able to work on your goals as much. I'm glad your workplace finally let you work from home. Having a short commute is great! My husband went from working ten miles away to forty miles away in January. Ironically, his commute went from about an hour to about thirty minutes because the traffic is about ninety percent lighter, so I guess it worked out.
I laughed out loud at the "House of Shatted Souls"! That's hilarious! I also like "Hot Eyeball Planet". The place doesn't sound like much fun, but it's a great title.
I wish you good luck during this crazy, crazy time.
the end of march slooowly approaches. i've met most of my goals, so yay! april will be a bit more .. exciting hopefully (in the writing sense, there's enough in real life!) with camp and my higher word count goal. also, getting some significant work done on Mechs in Space, which someday will have a real title. (I promise i haven't forgotten about my other idiotic novels!)
this week marks my 3rd? almost full week of working from home, and i honestly don't hate it yet. ;] i've definitely discovered that i am in fact pretty introverted with only minimal human contact required to thrive and most of that being online, lol.
suck it march! glad to see that month go away. (the jokes about it lasting ten years? yeah i feel it.) overall, it's been a pretty successful month writing wise, even if i didn't accomplish as many challenges or finish a novel like i wanted to. but you know, a lot of crap happened in march.
• write 15,000 words (21,861 / 15,000) • continue streak on 4thewords (93 / 94) - apparently i can't math again
camp begins! my goals are simple - just write more than i have been. primarily working on mechs in space. getting closer to a title, i think. (thanks Keri for the titles!!)
