It is the last monthly challenge, WriYers. We have suffered through one of the strangest years in most of our living memory, I would bet, and I think we all need a big hug. For writers, what is a better way to give a virtual hug than to do some critiquing/reviewing down in Read Me, Feed Me?
For this challenge, we're spreading the holiday cheer the best we can. There are plenty of stories down in RMFM that need some reviewing, critiquing, and general love-giving. So let's so what we can to make everyone's year end a little brighter.
First things first: if you do not have access to Read Me, Feed Me, you need to PM Roisin. She will give you the password to grant you access.
Then you need to read the RMFM Rules ( Feeding the Forum) which will set you up for success! There is also a Methods of Critting thread there that talks about some good methods to relay what you want to relay. It is not the only way, but just a suggestion!
Then make sure that you post something that needs to be critiqued! You can either post it into the forum as-is, add a Google Docs link, or make another arrangement via PM. You can ask for your level of critique from basic "Did you like it?" to a more in-depth series of questions.
For this challenge: Runaway Tales (RaTs) count as well. Again, PM Roisin for that password. Inside that board is an explanation of what RaTs is, but here is a fantastic website to help along!
So, Keri, what is the actual challenge?
Easy: read and critique (at whatever level) as much as you can! You may find a new beta reading buddy, or a new critique partner, or even an author to follow in the future! Make your pledge now to read a certain number of stories ("gifts to give")!
I imagine this may be a challenge where people jump in their "pledge" level so feel free to change where you are on the list as necessary. Also: if you take on something larger like a novella or a novel, consider that to be a big gift and note it down for me. Maybe I'll make special badges...
Participants:
1 to 3 gifts
3 to 5 gifts
6 to 10 gifts

A quick heads up here!
The Read Me, Feed Me forum will not be cleared until January because of this challenge. Anything in the RaTs boards will remain, but things in the general Read Me, Feed Me forum will be erased come January. So get that reading in!
(An official announcement will go up after Board Reset)
