![]() We are writers. We do all the WriMos we can. We start challenges left and right in this forum, taking on so many ideas and creating so many stories that it would make the normal population's heads twist. We are WriYers. But I think we have a problem. We don't always finish things. Sure, some of those ideas sound awesome when we first get them but a few weeks in and another bunny pops up. And we'd rather go chasing rabbits than penning them because it's the wild ones that are the most fun. But soon they lose their appeal as well. I know the pain. So this year, and hopefully every year, we're going to start a new challenge. It's called, as it says above, Finish What You Start (Or as I will short hand it, FYS for Finish Your "Stuff"). And it is simple. Everything you start in 2023, you finish in 2023. No if, ands or buts. This includes short stories, novellas, novels, and epics. This includes fan fiction and original fiction alike. ALL FORMS OF WRITING APPLY. That means screenplays, scripts, poetry, etc. Things that count for WriYe count for this. So if you want to be a finisher and not a Thousand Unfinished Things-er, copy this code: [table][tbody][tr][td style="border:1px solid #000;padding:3px;"]Stories Started[/td][td style="border:1px solid #000;padding:3px;"]0[/td][/tr][tr][td style="border:1px solid #000;padding:3px;"]Stories Finished[/td][td style="border:1px solid #000;padding:3px;"]0[/td][/tr][tr][td style="border:1px solid #000;padding:3px;"]Stories Remaining[/td][td style="border:1px solid #000;padding:3px;"]0[/td][/tr][/tbody][/table]
and change the numbers to what reflects your writing. Make sure you post the code in the BBCode and not the Preview of the text box (there is a tab on the bottom left of the text box where you can change it at will). As always, quote the last post, remove the [ quote ] and [ / quote] tags in the BBCode, put your name and code in alphabetically, and have fun!
NOTE: THIS IS FOR STORIES STARTED IN 2023. ANY STORIES PREVIOUSLY STARTED, DISREGARD THIS FOR. But finish them anyway. For the bunnies.
If you are going to be participating this year, feel free to use this small badge in your progress thread, signature, or anywhere you feel like to declare your commitment to finishing what you start!
