Sometimes, in the course of chatting on Discord, unofficial challenges are born. At times, this may not reach the forums and, as a result, some participants never even know they exist! Likewise, they may be declared and the unofficial badge posted, but then the post is not pinned or the badge gets buried and the testament to your greatness is never known.

So this thread has been created to save those challenges AND badges. If a fun challenge is created - such as "Choose Writing over Gaming" - and a badge made, it will be reposted here! If you need some sort of boost to your word count, or motivation to get XYZ done, look no further! This will be your hub of honor.

January 23rd, 2022

If you are unaware, January 23rd is National Handwriting Day (in the United States, because it is the birthday of John Hancock). So, let's join in the festivities by doing some writing by hand!

There are a few ways to participate in this one to grab your Community Challenge badge. Either:

1) Write some of your Luddite Novel, if you've signed up for it.

Commit to writing at least one page by hand in that novel, celebrating the way novels used to be written (and still are!).

2) Write a letter from your Main Character.

This could be to another character, to you (the author!), or to themselves. Bonus points if you try to vary the handwriting to something you think would resemble your MC's.

3) Plot, Plot and More Plot!

Do you have something to plot for that elusive February Challenge? (Hint: It's Keeping Warm in February, a romance based challenge.) Then why not do some plotting by hand? Index cards. Storyboards. Just rambling! However it helps.
